Thanh Thanh
Thanh Thanh Restaurant – I immediately had to ask my friend where this place was located when she posted some photos on Instagram. The colour and ingredients in the dish for the crab style noodle soup – Banh Da Do Cha La Lot – was it as good or comparable as Bun Cha Ca Hoang Yen. Bun Cha Ca Hoang Yen is such a popular place that people wait in line out the door to get a seat and have their Crab Noodle Soup. The restaurant was extremely tiny – and we were the only people there. At first I was really surprised and put off on whether this was the place since it wasn’t what I was expecting. Also I was very surprised at the prices for a bowl since the place wasn’t really nicely decor for how much the cost of it. Bun Cha Ca Hoang Yen pricing was cheaper and there was more choices in comparison to Thanh Thanh. However, the flavour for my dish and the exceptional ingredients are no joke. They really pack alot ingredients and it flavours are different – it’s not your typical basic Pho dishes you to at a Vietnamese restaurant. If you want to challenge your taste palette and try a different flavour from a different region of Vietnam – then Thanh Thanh would be a great place to experience it. A welcoming new player in the Vietnamese district in East Vancouver. Can’t wait to try out more Central Vietnam culinary flavours.
