Pho 51
Pho 51 – If you’re ever in the Port Coquitlam Fremont Village area and feeling peckish then stop by Pho 51 Vietnamese Restaurant. They just recently reopened their doors due to the pandemic. One of the finer and unique Vietnamese cuisines I’ve ever tasted. They’re ingredients are always fresh and very generous servings. They have their main staple items which many patrons are familiar with at any Vietnamese restaurant. But if you’re will to be more adventurous and see what foodies items to try – I would highly recommend their Satay Steak Beef Noodle Soup. The owner recommended me to try since he said it was something they have created in house to get that flavour. I was blown away by the flavours – the soup packed some amazing taste that complements the beef so well. It wasn’t spicy but it adds a nice kick and it doesn’t have the overwhelming taste of just pure satay that you can get when you add too much on the kababs of meat when you grill it. I have taken a few friends there too and they have never found a dish like this in any Vietnamese restaurant. Their variety is immense and some tasty and colourful drinks are always a hit for me when I’m there. I have also tried their fried chicken wings which in their own right is delicious. But – I will say – Phnom Penh’s chicken wings are still by far the victor of taste. I can’t get enough of it.
