Bake49
Bake49 – Cheese tarts…if you don’t know what it is then you’re missing out. It’s cheesecake but in a tart form. It’s a such a yummy dessert that you can’t go wrong on at least indulging yourself once! The origin of Cheese tart came from Japan – from the region of Hokkaido where their dairy is highly praised for. I was introduce my first cheese tart during my visit in Japan! There was two famous chains there that I had tried. I had fell in love with one of them. Since then – I have been such a cheese tart snob…I know you can’t compare with the ones in Japan to the ones locally here. However, since there has been such raving reviews for Bake49 – I decided to give it a try. Plus, I was craving for something different from the typical desserts being offered here. When it comes to the variety of flavours, there is the usual staple which is original / matcha / strawberry and seasonal blueberry. I decided a variety pack of all three top flavours to try. Thoughts? The tart was nice and flaky and nice textured combination with the cheese custard. As for the original flavour – it was not bad but it wasn’t as refreshing creamy flavour which I love in Japan. It definitely tasted more like a cream cheese vanilla flavour tart but less dense and more soft and moist texture. I would say – give it a try since if you’re not going to be travelling to Japan soon – then why not take a stop at Bake49 and get a small taste youself.
