Seoul Truck
Seoul Truck – I needed a quick bite to eat while I was running around getting some errands done. While I was in the Henderson Plaza, I’ve tend to neglect heading upstairs to check out the food court selection. However this time, I took the time to check it out. Although the food court is small but the selection, portion size and pricing is very attractive. There fusion Korean, Traditional Korean Home cook meals, Chinese Northern Style Cuisine, Falafel and Desserts. The one that caught my attention was Seoul Truck Street Food – the exterior was super appealing. They designed the exterior counter as if you’re ordering from a food truck. The food itself is Korean street food which I love. I can see that it’s would definitely attract many Students, and people who need to eat something on the good. Their main focus of street food is mainly fried items. One thing I’m passionate about is Korean Fried Chicken. So I was pretty curious on how the chicken tasted. However, they had a new special item they’re promoting which led me to try it out. It’s called their Volcano Chicken Bowl. It’s a rice bowl topped with spicy stir fried chicken and torched stringy cheese on top of it. I asked for a to go package. So package wise – I was impressed on their marketing and detail to ensure that the food is esthetically pleasing even if it’s street food and it’s in a take out box. They took the time to stamp their signature logo on the to go boxes – and they had a clear dome cover to ensure that you see the mountain of Chicken. Digging into the meal, I was very surprised and impressed the taste. The chicken was nicely cooked and smothered with their own specialty sweet and spicy red pepper paste sauce. Each piece was covered and juicy and tender. The cheese was like the icing on top – the torched cheese gave a smoky taste and it help reduce the heat of the spice. The rice was nicely cooked and not dry and there was enough sauce to cover the rice as well. I really enjoyed it. All of this was less than $9. I was pretty happy and full from it. I would definitely want to try more items from their menu. I’m looking forward to try out some of the other places at the food court.
