Ramen Gojiro
Ramen Gojiro– This place is always packed with people outside waiting when I drive by. It’s been opened for a few years already, and I only got a chance to try it out because I needed to stop by Pacific centre to pick up something on the weekend. I wouldn’t want to go during a weekday – it’s too busy for my liking. So what did I order? A spicy bakamori karrage w/light broth and mild spicy /basic bakamori ramen w/chasu and rich soup – love the customization. The spicy bakamori : the spice was a deep savory complements to the light soup. The chicken was a great texture and it help cut down on the heaviness of the soup. The noodles were nice chewy texture that grab the soup well. The basic – the pork wasn’t as soft or flavourful as I had hoped. Richness of the soup had a nice punch of full body flavour to your mouth. Though its not something I can finish since its too rich for my liking so half a bowl is tops for me. The noodles were well coated by the soup very well. A definite “yes” to come back to! They have another location – Ramen Goah in Burnaby so I can’t wait to try that! The ramen butcher – a sister store of their is also a great eat choice. Their broth is very clean and fresh.
