Todak Todak Korean Chicken Restaurant
Todak Todak – The only fried chicken place in the most popular eat street of Kingsway – Joyce/Boundary area. I was pretty excited to try this place out since it was the only one in the area and I love Korean style fried chicken. However, I was a little worried about the space they opened in since there as been several restaurant had closed them prior to them – so I’m not sure if they’ll be staying put. I decided to take my sister there since Chimaek was the perfect way to enjoy the weekend. When we arrived – we were lucky that we found a booth. It got busy pretty quickly and the space was small. We had ordered the spicy cheese rice cake and the plate of half and half boneless chicken – The original and the sweet spicy sauce. I tend to order this at any fried chicken place as the base on how good their chicken is. The chicken was good – but it wasn’t my favourite. It was crispy and flavourful but the crunch wasn’t as nice of a texture as Fryday. As for the spices – again I liked it but it wasn’t that unique and I had better. I will say it is better than Ajuker. But I prefer Fryday / Oz or Olive BBQ Chicken. I did exceptional enjoyed the beer – Three Kingdom Beer Co. The restaurant was promoting it and the branding on the can was very playful and eye catching so I wanted to try it out since beer always taste sooo good with fried chicken. I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this local beer – it has all the elements that matches my taste palette of being Asian! So clearly the beer resonated with me very well. So should you try the chicken there? Yeah – definitely try it since it’s the only there and stop by and grab a beer or two.
