Steak Atlas – Burnaby
Steak Atlas – Heard a lot of positive reviews about Steak Atlas and I thought it was a good opportunity dine there for a friend’s birthday. Since it’s located at the delta hotel where casino is – the restaurant wasn’t very busy – especially during the covid period. However, the service was very friendly and top notch. We started off with their caesar salad – this salad reminded me of Hy’s steakhouse. The server would prepare the salad at the tableside but what’s different was that their bacon. The taste and texture reminded me of smoke jerky which was very nice and different. Not the typical crispy bacon you expect when you bite into it. Only thing I would like more if they added a bit more dressing to it. As for the mains – we decided on the Tomahawk Steak – 480z bone in and the spicy lobster spaghettini. There was a bit of tableside show which was fun because they made bourbon flame steak sauce and it was very complimentary and tasty on the meat. The steak itself was exceptionally nice and tender and juicy. It was delicious and way better than Glowbal’s tomohawk steak or Gotham’s one as well. I appreciate that they also cut it into smaller stripes for you to dig into. As for the spaghettini – it has a nice seafood tomato base with a nice kick with it. I had to admit it was one of the best pasta I’ve had in a long time. The pasta noodle was perfect texture and the sauce was able to coat the noodle well so that you can get a nice ratio of sauce and noodle for each bite. I would definitely go back and try out the other items on the menu.
