Fryday
Fryday – This place has been open for a little over a year now. It clearly needs more mouths to come through the door. It’s still not getting their recognition that they deserve – it’s still under the radar! Fryday is a Korean Fried Chicken joint with cold beer from the tap. It’s one of the top fried chicken that I enjoy having. I am aware that people are going to give me heck for putting Korean fried chicken as the same category as Western style chicken, but fried chicken in itself is a basically the same concept everywhere. Its just depends on how you prepare it. If you ask what makes it so good – I can’t pinpoint on what makes it so delicious but the chicken is moist and juicy. and the skin isn’t greasy. I love that their Extra Crispy fried chicken is exceptionally seasoned and crispy. The double frying makes the batter lighter with an amazing crunch! Their other dishes include their Spicy Cheesy – boneless chicken coated with spicy and sweet sauce all over is a great balance that partners with the googy cheese. The sauce isn’t too sweet or spicy that you are only tasting sauce. Keep note that their spicy isn’t as spicy as one think it is so you’re still able to taste the actual chicken. However, I was hoping there will be more Tteokbokki and Cheese for this dish as a good way to help cut down on the sauce when needed. Their Pa-Dak was something I don’t recall having in any other Korean Fried Chicken place. This plate is topped with fresh spring onions and a light sweet glaze that melds well with the onion. I was worried that both chicken dishes with any sauce will make it soggy to eat. However the skin still had the crispy texture that makes you digging in for more. It’s a perfect pairing with some cold beer straight from the tap. I enjoy that on Wednesday they have their Wednesday Wing’s Special. Definitely take advantage of their promo if you want to try it out the first time. This place needs more love – hit it up! *note – any fried item – it’s never good when you do take out. MUST EAT THERE FOR IT TO FRESH…The true taste can only be enjoyed when you eat in!
